Video shows shooters open fire on people sitting on sidewalk in Prince George's County
Prince George's County Police released video of a shooting in District Heights where suspects can be seen pulling up in a car and opening fire on a group sitting along the sidewalk. (WARNING: Video may contain graphic content.)
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. - A drive-by shooting in Prince George's County left a 4-year-old and a 14-year-old injured Wednesday evening, according to the District Heights Police Department.
Police say the shooting took place in the 6700 block of Alpine Street in District Heights around 6:30 p.m.

2 kids injured, dog killed in shooting
FOX 5's Josh Rosenthal reports from the 6700 block of Alpine Street in District Heights where a 4-year-old and a 14-year-old were shot.
Acting Chief Ronald Tarpley said multiple shooters pulled up in two black vehicles and fired several rounds into a group of people. Bullets struck a 4-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and a dog.

Both boys have non-life-threatening injuries and the dog, whose name was Danger, is dead.
Acting Chief Tarpley said the 4-year-old was grazed in the shoulder. He was transported, along with the other victim, to a local hospital.
"Opening fire on a group of children and teens with absolutely no concern for their lives is unconscionable. I assure this community and all residents of Prince George’s County that my detectives are working around the clock to find and arrest the shooters before they can cause even more harm," said Major Trevel Watson, Commander, Westphalia Division VIII.
Police are actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
