UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - A three-vehicle crash that left one person dead and two others hospitalized in Prince George's County is being blamed on a deer that jumped into the roadway, police say.
The incident was reported around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday along the 2900 block of Richie Marlboro Road in Upper Marlboro. Police say three vehicles crashed after a deer jumped into the road that is lined with grass and trees.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two survivors were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the deer was killed and that the road was closed for several hours while investigators were on the scene.
