Deadly police-involved shooting investigated in Thurmont, officials say

Authorities are on the scene of a deadly police-involved shooting in Frederick County, Maryland.

The incident was reported early Monday morning on Sandy Spring Lane in Thurmont. Officials on Twitter said there is no danger to the public.

FOX 5's Melanie Alnwick reported live from the scene and said that one person was killed after being shot by police. Alnwick said numerous police vehicles were near the intersection of Sandy Spring Lane and Jessica Lane. Other details surrounding the shooting are unclear at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
