WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The effort to get sports betting up and running in the District has been put on hold in the courts.
A D.C. Superior Court judge issued a temporary restraining order Thursday to stop the city from paying the sole vendor it chose to run its sports betting app.
The case was brought by a D.C. man who says the city illegally awarded its betting contract to the company called Intralot, instead of opening up bidding to others.
