DC snow forecast: Another winter weather threat targets DMV this weekend

Snow lovers, get ready! Another winter weather threat is targeting the Washington, D.C. region as the area continues to clean up from the last blast of snow.

FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes says the chance for snow will arrive early Saturday morning. "The modeling generally indicates about an inch of snow," Barnes said. Parts of the area could see between a coating and one and a half inches. "And it will be cold enough to stick!" he added.

Snow totals for DC, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia from January 6, 2025

The system is expected to move along the I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia, during the overnight hours from Friday to Saturday. All snow should stop by noon on Saturday. Frigid temperatures will remain in the 30s through the weekend.
