WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - As a homeless man was waiting for blankets and a ride to an area shelter, a DC Recruit Officer wanted to give the man something himself.
A photo was taken as the officer brought the homeless man some clothing.
D.C. police say residents who are experiencing homelessness and are out on the street can request transportation to a shelter.
Those in need of a ride to a shelter can call 311 or the shelter hotline at (202) 399-7093.
