WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The Washington, D.C. city council formally reprimanded a councilman who allegedly used his position to solicit business from District lobbyists.
The investigation focuses on Councilman Jack Evans, the city's longest-serving lawmaker and the chair of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority board.

Last week, Washington, D.C., mayor Muriel Bowser and the city council were subpoenaed as part of a federal investigation connected to Evans.
Evans allegedly emailed District lobby firms and argued they should employ him for his ability to cross-market his relationships and influence.
