WASHINGTON - The power is back on at the busiest airport in the world after thousands were stranded at the Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The sudden power outage was caused by a fire in an underground electrical facility and brought the airport to a standstill Sunday about 1 p.m.
The problems came right in the thick of the holiday rush and travel woes are expected to linger for days - not just in Atlanta - but at terminals around the country and around the world.
Here are links to D.C. area airports so you can plan ahead and check flight status.
