Firefighters on the scene of a 2-alarm fire at a recycling plant in Montgomery County are fighting the blaze with limited access to water.

The fire was reported around 3 a.m. along the 24000 block of Frederick Road in Clarksburg. Officials say there are few fire hydrants in the area and water is being brought to the scene in tanker trucks. The trucks transfer the water to large containers that firefightersthen to put out the flames.

Aerial images from the scene show a large warehouse structure with solar panels on the roof. Flames could be seen inside of the building. A huge smoke plume rose from the structure and stretched for miles.

Police say all lanes of southbound and northbound Route 355, between Route 109 and Clarksburg Roads, are closed due to the emergency response to the fire. Drivers can expect heavier traffic along Interstate 270.

No injuries have been reported. A cause is still under investigation.
