Confederate statue on Loudoun County Courthouse grounds vandalized, police say
LEESBURG, Va. - Police say a Confederate statue on the Loudoun County Courthouse grounds in Leesburg, Virginia was vandalized early Thursday morning.
The statue was spray painted with graffiti that included obscene language, police say.
Investigators believe the vandalism happened sometime after midnight. Officers say the graffiti is being removed. No permanent damage was done to the statue.
