COLUMBIA, Md. - A Maryland city has been ranked among the happiest in the United States.
According to a new report from WalletHub, Columbia, Maryland came in as the twelfth happiest city in America. The report listed 182 cities. Columbia ranked between Madison, Wisconsin which came in eleventh and San Francisco, California which ranked thirteenth.
According to WalletHub.com, rankings were determined by examining each city based on 28 key indicators of happiness. The indicators ranged from depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day.
Baltimore, at 159, is the only other city form Maryland to make the list. Several cities in Virginia were ranked including Chesapeake at 48, Virginia Beach at 54, Newport News at 121, Norfolk at 134, and Richmond at 151.
