Climate-change protesters take to DC streets
WASHINGTON - After dozens were arrested during climate change protests earlier this week during, protesters returned to the District today to march.
Demonstrators say the purpose is to raise awareness about climate change by “disrupting business as usual in the nation’s capital.”
Last week, the Coalition to Shut Down D.C. created traffic havoc in a number of locations, including Farragut Square, Columbus Circle, Hancock Park, and Folger Park.
They also managed to shut down Dupont Circle.
Friday's march began at McPherson Square.
The march will include stops at:
- BlackRock
- The EPA
- The Trump Hotel
- Wells Fargo
