BETHESDA, Md. - Officers working on Christmas Day in Montgomery County received a special treat as citizens surprised them with some holiday food.
While families gathered to enjoy the holiday, the brave men and women behind the badge were hard at work making sure everyone was safe. To show their appreciation, people brought in an assortment of hot food, sandwiches and sweets.
"It warms officers' hearts to know that people are thinking about them in a very positive way, but it has increased over the years during the holiday season and for those who have to work during that time they are very much appreciative of that," Commander Marcus Jones with the Montgomery County Police Department said.
