Mediterranean food chain Cava is offering its 1,600 employees two hours of paid leave to vote this upcoming election day.

Any employee who wants to take advantage of it will be permitted to take two hours to vote.

In a statement regarding the move, the company says it's part of a package of progressive policies.

"Caring about our communities is in our DNA. From partnering with local farmers and producers, to supporting our non-profit partners on Community Day, to offering paid leave so that each of our Team

Members can volunteer for a cause they care about -- we believe in active participation as a way of leaving the world a better place than we found it," company management said in a letter to employees.
