Traffic ramps at BWI Airport reopen, suspicious car cleared

Traffic outside of BWI Airport is starting to move again after it was totally shut down for an hour on Wednesday afternoon. TSA said a man parked his car outside of the terminals and told people he had an explosive. FOX 5's Nana-Sentuo Bonsu has the latest details.

BWI Marshall Airport officials temporarily shut down a terminal roadway Wednesday afternoon due to an investigation.

A security source told FOX 5 that a man parked his vehicle at the airport and told law enforcement he had explosives in his vehicle.

Police took the man into custody and the bomb squad responded to investigate. The vehicle was cleared and there does not appear to be a threat at this time.

Those in the terminal were advised to remain in place as law enforcement remained at the scene.

Law enforcement says roadway operations will slowly return to normal.
