Bus overturns after pickup truck runs red light in Prince George's County, police say
CLINTON, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - The Maryland State Police are investigating a bus crash on Surratts Road at Branch Avenue in Prince George's County.
Police say a pickup truck with a trailer ran a red light and struck the bus, which overturned, at around 4:10 p.m. The truck was hauling two cars at the time of the crash.
No serious injuries have been reported.
Last Wednesday, 32-year-old Shameka Brown was killed in a chain reaction crash at the same intersection.
Investigators believe in last week's crash that a tractor-trailer ran a red light while heading southbound on Branch Avenue, which triggered a chain reaction crash involving a Prince George's County school bus and five other vehicles.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, but several others were.
