Bus crash shuts down section of Florida Avenue in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - A section of Florida Avenue in Fairfax County is shut down after a crash involving a Connector bus.

According to police, a Kia Soul failed to yield when it was making a left turn, and it struck an oncoming bus

The bus driver maneuvered in an effort to avoid the Kia Soul, and struck a tree.

Both the bus driver and the driver in the Kia Soul were taken to a local hospital with injuries that police described as non-life threatening.

The street is closed from Alabama and Center.

They have not said how long it might remain closed.
