Baltimore Police hunt for escaped prisoner

Baltimore Police need help locating 41-year-old Vernon Goode who escaped from police custody around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Goode is of the 1600 block of North Gilmore Street. He had been arrested on a domestic violence warrant was transported to the Central District at 501 East Baltimore Street, where it appears he somehow worked his way out of his handcuffs before escaping on foot.

Goode is a medium complexioned black male who is 5′ 10″ tall and weighs about 215 lbs. Goode has neck length dred-locks and was last seen wearing a short sleeve burgundy shirt, dark jeans, and was carrying a black book bag with braided stitching.

Anyone who has seen or knows of Goode's whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
