SUITLAND, Md. - Police are trying to find a burglary suspect who ended up apparently injuring himself while breaking into a carryout restaurant.
Prince George's County police say the suspect used a brick or a rock to shatter the front glass window of the restaurant located in the 4000 block of Suitland Road on Sept. 20.
However, once he got inside, he used the same object to try to break the glass that was protecting the front counter. However, it turned out to be bulletproof glass.
On his third attempt to throw the object through the glass, it ended up bouncing off the glass and appeared to hit him in the head. Police say the suspect fell to the ground where he laid for a few minutes before he got up and left the scene.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the burglary is asked to call police at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or 301-390-2160.
