An Upper Marlboro man has been arrested for trying to kidnap two people on two separate occasions in Prince George's County.

Police officers were able to take 42-year-old Abdul Fuller into custody shortly after one of the frightening incidents Tuesday in Fort Washington when police say he came back to where he attempted to kidnap a woman in the 3300 block of Stonesboro Road.

A woman held onto a tree for dear life and began screaming for help in one of the attacks, police say. Residents nearby heard her and came to her rescue. The same situation played out with the second victim — a teenage girl.

Police say both attacks were random.

Fuller has been charged with two counts of attempted abduction, including attempted abduction of someone underage and second-degree assault.
