Arrest made after police investigate social media threat directed at 2 Virginia schools

Police have arrested a person they say was connected to a social media threat directed at two schools in Virginia.

Officers announced on Sunday that they discovered a threat made against Osbourne High School and Baldwin Elementary School that involved a post on Instagram. After the post was discovered, authorities said an increased police presence at both schools was to be expected on Monday.

Early Monday morning, officials announced that they had made an arrested in connection with the case. Investigators said that a suspect was being held in police custody and that criminal charges were pending.
