Amber Alert canceled for teen from western New York

UPDATE: Authorities have canceled a New York State Amber Alert for a teenage girl in western New York.

EARLIER REPORT: The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Kamerie E. Elliot, 14, from West Bergen Road in Byron, a town about 20 miles from Rochester. Authorities believe Guillermo Torres-Acevedo, 22, abducted her Thursday morning.

They may be traveling in a blue Dodge Journey SUV with the license plate NEW YORK HHP-5458.

"The child was taken under circumstances that lead the police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death," according to the Amber Alert.

Elliot is described as white with hazel eyes and blue-dyed hair, about 4 feet 11 inches, and about 140 pounds.

Torres-Acevedo is Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 6 inches, and about 180 pounds.
