Alexandria school employee arrested for child porn
An employee at St. Stephens & St. Agnes School faces dozens of child pornography charges.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - An employee at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
Detectives received a cyber tip on Feb. 9 indicating a man within Fairfax County was in possession of child sexual abuse material.
Austin Fodrie, 31, was charged on Wednesday with 20 counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held at the Adult Detention Center without bond.
Head of School Kirsten Adams released this statement on the matter:
We are saddened and distressed by the charges facing one of our employees. According to police, there is no indication that the charges involve his work at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in any way, or any of our students or other personnel, and we will support law enforcement's investigation in any way that we can.
Nothing is more important to our school than the safety and well-being of our students. We have in place policies, training, and procedures that are specifically designed to protect our students.
Because this matter involves an ongoing investigation, we will refrain from publicly addressing the charges or the individual's employment with our school.
