KRISTIN, IS THE NEIGHBOR THAT WALKED HER UP IS SHE STILL THERE?

K: Yes she is

CAN YOU ASK THE NEIGHBOR DID THE FEMALE JUST WALK UP TO HER HOUSE OR HOW DID SHE COME ACROSS HER?

K: Ok, one second.

Jeanne Nutter: I'm not up here very often in the winter, I just happened to come up today. I didn't want to bring her to my cabin.

HOW DID SHE COME ACROSS YOUR CABIN?

N: I was walking my dog and we were almost home and she walking towards me crying saying, "you gotta help me, you gotta help me."

OK

N: And I didn't want to go into my cabin because it's too close to Patterson's house.

AND SHE SAID HER NAME WAS JAYME CLOSS?

N: Yep. And when I walked into this house they recognized her immediately from posters.

[In the background]
N: Jayme, do you know when he's going to come back?

WHO'S GOING TO COME BACK?

N: His name is Jake Thomas Patterson and apparently his house is two doors down from our cabin [...] So we're kind of scared because he might come.

YEP. I HAVE MANY DEPUTIES ON THE WAY. I'M GOING TO KEEP YOU ON THE LINE.

I'M GOING TO HAVE THEM STAGE IN THE AREA BECAUSE I DONT WANT ANYBODY TO COME UP INTO THE HOUSE UNTIL THE DEPUTIES GET THERE, BUT I WANT THEM IN THE AREA, OK?

N: OK

OK, JUST ONE MOMENT.

DID SHE SAY WHERE JAKE IS?

N: She has no idea where he is. She told me that when he leaves her she doesn't know that he's gone. He turns the music up real loud. He has people to come over and watch her -- or no -- wait -- he pushed you/hides you under a bed... he has hidden her under a bed.

N: He's the only one who was there.

OK DOES SHE REMEMBER HOW FAR SHE WAS WALKING BEFORE SHE MET UP WITH YOU?

N: She was like maybe 100 yards from my cabin.

DOES SHE SEEM COMFORTABLE?

N: Yes, we have her wrapped up in a blanket.

DOES SHE - DO WE KNOW WHAT KIND OF VEHICLE OR IF HE WORKS ANYWHERE?

N: [to Jayme] Does he work?
N: [to dispatcher] He doesn't work and I asked her what kind of car. It's a red -- he used to be in the military..
.

I'M SORRY, HE USED TO BE IN THE MILITARY?

N: There's a bunch of cars in his driveway. I mean, I've walked by that place I can't tell you how many times.

OH, YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS?

N: I know right where it is. I walk around the block, my husband walks around the block.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT ROAD IT'S ON?

N: It's on Eau Claire Acres Road.

DO YOU KNOW JAKE?

N: No, he's never really been...I mean we only come up here periodically, but he's never been friendly or talked to me and we've been here four years.

HAVE YOU SEEN HIM, THOUGH?

N: No, I don't even know what he looks like.

[...]

N: I can hardly breathe...Oh, my dog just got on her lap [laughs]

N: She doesn't have any shoes, she's wearing his shoes.

[...]

N: I went for a walk at the right time, and you guys were home, thank God.

[...]

N: I was just asking if she is afraid and she said, 'No.'

YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GOOD JOB OF KEEPING HER COMFORTABLE.

N: You're doing a good job of keeping us calm.

[LAUGHS] THAT'S WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR.

[...]

N: Somebody's here...it's a police officer.
