9-year-old airlifted with serious burns following Anne Arundel County house fire
ANNE AUNDEL CO., Md. - A 9-year-old had to be airlifted to the hospital with serious burn injuries after a fire broke out at a home in Laurel.
According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the call came in just after 3:50 p.m. for a fire at 8557 Crooked Tree Lane.
Firefighters responded to find a three-story townhome with a fire that was contained to the living room on the second floor.
The 9-year-old child was airlifted to a burn center by Maryland State Police and has life-threatening injuries.
Officials say an adult female also suffered minor burn related injuries but refused treatment.
There's been no word on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage to the townhome at this time.
