ROCKVILLE, Md. - Three juveniles who escaped from a Montgomery County detention center Sunday evening have been apprehended by police.
Montgomery County police say the teens escaped from the Alfred D. Noyes Children's Center on Blackwell Road in Rockville just after 7 p.m. Sunday. By 8:40 pm, two of the three teens had been located. The third was located around 9 p.m.
K-9 units and a police helicopter with thermo imaging technology was used to search from the air.
Captain Paul Starks said two of the escaped teens were 15-year-old boys and a third was a 17-year-old boy.
It's not clear how the teens were able to escape.
