WASHINGTON - A teenage boy is dead, D.C. police reported, after a shooting in Southeast Tuesday night.
D.C. police said the call reporting the shooting came in at 9:05 p.m. The officers who responded to the scene in the 2200 block of Alabama Avenue SE said they found two teenage boys in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was conscious and breathing when police arrived, the other — who has been identified by police as Traev'on Green — was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where he was pronounced dead.
The teen who survived the shots Tuesday was taken to a local hospital where police said he's in stable condition.
Police are asking the public to look out for a dark-colored sedan that may have had something to do with the shooting.
If you see the car, call 911. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this shooting.
