2 masked, armed men break into Rockville home, police say

Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of two suspects involved in a residential robbery in Rockville

Rockville City Police arrive in the area of 200 block Elizabeth Avenue for a residential robbery. Police say the victim reported that he was accosted at his front door by two masked men armed with handguns. The men fled from the location after police were alerted to the incident in a silver Dodge Charger.

According to police, the suspect vehicle was spotted in the area while responding to the call and police pursued it. The suspect vehicle became disabled in the area of E. Argyle Street and W. Lynfield Drive. Police established a perimeter, the driver was apprehended near the 600 block of Harrington Road.

Police say two handguns were recovered. The suspect has been identified as Calvin Walker Hester of the 19500 block Crystal Rock Drive, Germantown, Maryland.

Walker has been charged with home invasion, third-degree burglary, first degree assault, robbery, armed robbery, and various firearms related crimes.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact police.
