2 dead, 2 injured in Fairfax house fire
FAIRFAX, Va. - Officials say two people are dead and two are injured after fire broke out in a home overnight in Fairfax. The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 11400 block of Popes Head Road.
Officials on the scene say one person was found dead inside of the home. Another person, a man, died after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Two others, an adult female and a man, were transported and remain hospitalized. FOX 5's Melanie Alnwick says the man who was injured was found in the front yard of the home and was reportedly covered in soot when firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
