WASHINGTON - Two students were rushed to the hospital and two others were evaluated for possible overdoses at a DC elementary school, according to officials.
Officials at Patterson Elementary School, located on South Capitol Terrace Southwest, said a student brought an "unidentified substance to school and shared it with other students."
FOX 5's Cori Coffin reports four students were evaluated at the scene for unspecified symptoms for a possible overdose. Two of the students were taken to the hospital and were listed in stable condition.
"Following proper protocols, we immediately contacted Emergency Medical Services and the students have been referred to the appropriate medical officials," school officials said in part of a written statement.
