An 18-year-old man is dead and a 19-year-old man is in custody after a shooting behind a movie theater in Charles County.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the St. Charles Towne Center on Mall Circle Drive in Waldorf.
Officers believe the victim was walking with friends when he stopped to speak with the suspect who then shot him. The 18-year-old was hospitalized but later died early Thursday morning.
No other injuries were reported.
Police have no motive for the shooting at this time.
