DALLAS - A fiery 18-wheeler crash shut down a major highway in Dallas Friday morning.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 30 near E. Grand Avenue. A truck collided with four other vehicles and the cab ended up hanging off the overpass. Fuel also spilled onto the highway and caught fire.
Officials said the truck's driver was ejected and killed. At least one other person was injured and taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Hazmat crews are now cleaning up both above and below the overpass. No traffic is being allowed under the bridge and all eastbound lanes of the interstate are shut down.
The cleanup is expected to take several hours.
