12-year-old boy struck by vehicle in Takoma Park

TAKOMA PARK, Md. - A 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle in Takoma Park Wednesday evening, police say.

The collision happened at around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue and Maple Avenue nearby the Takoma Park Community Center.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Takoma Park police say the driver stayed at the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
