100th homicide reported in Prince George's County
PRINCE GEOREGE'S CO., Md. - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Walker Mill Road in Prince George’s County. It’s the third shooting on the street in a week and the second fatal one.
Officers responded to the area of Karen Boulevard and Walker Mill Road around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The victim was found with three gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. About four shell casings were discovered at the scene.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing a dark-colored coat who fled towards Addison Road in a black sedan.
This is the 100th homicide reported in Prince George’s County this year.

Two other shootings occurred on Walker Mill Road this week.
The first was reported in the 6700 block around 8 p.m. on Dec. 17. That victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were called back to the same block at 3 p.m. on Dec 18. The victim in that shooting, 31-year-old Rakib Rakib of Temple Hills, was an employee of a convenience store on Walker Mill Road.
Investigators say Rakib was taking out the trash when he was approached by the suspect, who demanded his property and shot him.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 25-year-old Geonte McNeil-Williams and he was taken into custody Thursday morning. He has been charged with first and second-degree murder and related charges and remains in custody.
