1-year-old dog training to become service dog believed stolen from DC home
WASHINGTON - A family is asking for help to find a 1-year-old dog that is believed to have been stolen from their D.C. home.
Amaya, a 1-year-old female Pembroke Welsh Corgi, was last seen in the yard of her Northwest D.C. home in the area of 8th Street and Van Buren Street on the morning of Dec. 15. She went missing after the owner's son went inside for a few minutes to get jacket.
Amaya is training to become a service dog for the son who is visually-impaired.
The dog is described as black with white legs and brown around her eyes. She is at least 15 to 17 pounds.
