WASHINGTON - A man is dead and four others are injured after a violent night in the District.
Officers say a man was killed by gunfire around 12:35 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of 14 Street in the northeast. At this time investigators have no suspects or motives in the case.
Authorities are also investigating shootings that injured four other people Thursday night.
A man is recovering after being shot in the 4000 block of 3rd Street in the southeast at around 9:15 p.m. About a half hour later, also in the southeast, police say a man and a woman were shot in the 3200 block of 15th Place. In the northeast, at around 11 p.m., a man was shot in the arm in the 3400 block of Dix Street.
The victims in these shootings are all expected to survive.
