Another winter storm headed through DC area for first day of spring
WASHINGTON - Just as we approach the first day of spring Tuesday, another winter storm is headed through the DC area.
Rain will start to move into our area as rain Monday night, but as we get into Tuesday morning, FOX 5 meteorologist Gary McGrady says roads may be impacted, especially in western and northwestern suburbs.
"Low pressure is going to the south of us and it's jumping offshore to become a pretty substantial nor'easter again," says McGrady.
Meteorologist Mike Thomas says the I-95 corridor could see sleet late Monday night, which will turn into rain Tuesday morning, and then back to sleet and snow Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
He says this could be a "very tricky" two storm event, with the second storm coming through Wednesday,
After the storm, we'll see cooler temps behind the storm on Thursday, Friday and by next weekend it looks like we will have a chance for some showers and mild temperatures.
