Virginia State Police investigate suspicious death after truck crash in Clarke Co.

CLARKE COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Virginia State Police are investigating the suspicious death of a pick-up truck driver after he crashed into a tree in Clarke County.

Police responded to Route 7/Harry Byrd Highway near Castleman Road around 11:30 Sunday morning for a report of a traffic crash.

Investigators found an adult male, the sole occupant, dead from injuries police say are inconsistent with a traffic crash.

The body was sent to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
