3 injured in DC shooting, police say
WASHINGTON - Authorities responded to the scene of a triple shooting in the District on Thursday, according to officials.
DC police said officers were called to the scene on the 3200 block of 22nd Street, SE in Southeast DC at about noon.
DC Police Chief Peter Newsham said a sedan pulled up to a strip mall and a suspect opened fire. Three males were shot, according to Newsham. Two of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries while the other victim suffered serious injuries, Newsham stated.
Investigators are searching for a man wearing a black skull cap underneath a black hat. The alleged gunman was wearing a white t-shirt and was carrying a handgun.
Authorities released images of the suspect vehicle, which appeared to be a white, older-model sedan.
