Police: Subway robber came back for sandwich
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A fast food robbery left a burglar hungry, so he took a sandwich for the road, police said.
Gwinnett County Detectives say 34-year-old Zachary P. Miller walked into a Subway on the 3200 block of Medlock Bridge Road in unincorporated Norcross at around 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 9.
Police say Miller ordered a sandwich like normal, but at checkout, he climbed over the counter and , tried to open the cash register, and demanded cash.
Miller fled with around $100 police said, but then returned to grab the sandwich.
He left the scene on foot, holding his sub.
Deputies arrested Miller on Tuesday in Knox County in Tennessee. Officials say he was wanted for multiple charged out of Tennessee and Georgia.
