Prince George's County police investigating deadly Laurel shooting
LAUREL, Md. - Prince George's County police are investigating after a male victim was shot to death in Laurel, officials say.
Police say officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Contee Road at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a shooting. When the officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We have our detectives working very hard, our evidence technicians were out trying to right now work to establish a suspect and/or motive in this case," said Prince George's County Police Officer Cpl. Nicole Black. "So it's very important that we are asking the community's help. If anyone saw anything that is out of the ordinary to please call police."
Police have not released any information on a possible suspect at this point.
