Power outage closes 3 Fauquier County schools

FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. - Three public schools in Fauquier County - Coleman Elementary, Thompson Elementary and Marshall Middle - are closed Tuesday after downed trees triggered a power outage.

School officials made the announcement Tuesday morning on X, formerly Twitter.

According to NOVEC’s power outage page, the outage was discovered just after 4 a.m. and is scheduled to be restored by 9 p.m. this evening.
