Virginia teen with autism who donated peanut butter surprised with $2K donation on his behalf

A Virginia teen with autism lovingly referred to as "Bean" first made headlines back in January when he donated his lifetime supply of peanut butter that was given to him by Lidl to furloughed government workers.

His real name is Eric McKay and he's still helping to Pay It Forward during Autism Awareness Month and his favorite grocery store is lending him a hand.

Lidl has placed Bean's picture on their Lidl store brand peanut butter for the month of April in celebration of his bubbly personality and his spirit of giving.

The jar reads "Lidl Beanut Butter" and 10 cents of each jar purchased will be donated to the Autism Awareness Society of America.

The FOX 5 Pay It Forward crew along with Easterns Automotive Group went to Lidl's in Dumfries to help spread the word about Bean's good deeds and to surprise him with a gift.

Joel Bassam of Easterns Automotive Group presented Bean with a check for $2,000, or about 20,000 jars of "Lidl Beanut Butter," to donate to the Autism Awareness Society of America.
