Pay It Forward: La Cocina VA helps combat unemployment and hunger with culinary program
ARLINGTON, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - A Northern Virginia woman is helping people in the Hispanic community combat unemployment and hunger with her culinary program.
Patricia Funegra founded La Cocina VA in Arlington as a way to create change through feeding, educating and empowering the community.

FOX 5 and Easterns Automotive Group teamed up to help Funegra continue to Pay It Forward. Joel Bassam from Easterns Automotive Group presented La Cocina VA with a $1,000 donation and all her students received new cast-ironed pots, recipe books and $50 gift cards.
