Montgomery County barn fire causes $2 million in damages
DICKERSON, Md. - Authorities say over $2 million dollars in damages are likely after a fire destroyed a barn Monday night in Montgomery County.

The fire happened around 11:45 p.m. in the 21000 block of Peach Tree Road in the Dickerson area. Officials say the fire happened in a non-hydrant area and that live power lines were downed during the blaze.

Dozens of firefighters were on the scene overnight into Tuesday morning. Officials say three structures and numerous pieces of farm equipment – including tractors, mowers, horse and animal gear and hay bales – were lost in the fire.
A cause has not yet been determined.
