Woman found dead along roadway in Waldorf being investigated as suspicious

WALDORF, Md. - Authorities say they are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found lying along a roadway in Waldorf.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office says a resident called police at around 8:50 p.m. Thursday after finding the victim on Old Washington Road near Smallwood Drive.

The woman was found with trauma to the body and pronounced dead at the scene.
