Fairfax County mother makes desperate plea to find missing 16-year-old daughter

Fairfax County police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenage girl from Alexandria.

Police say 16-year-old Jholie Moussa was last seen on Friday, Jan. 12 in the 4200 block of Sonia Court.

According to a Facebook post by her mother, the teenager left home at around 4:15 p.m. and told her sister that she was going to a party in Norfolk. However, she has not been seen since.

Moussa's mother, Syreeta Hill, told FOX 5 she doesn't believe her daughter would have run away. Hill says the last time she saw her daughter she said she would be right back and did not take her phone charger or any extra clothes with her.

Police say they looked into the tip that Moussa was in Norfolk and it didn't pan out. They believe she could still be in the Alexandria area. At this point in their investigation, police say they do not believe Moussa is in imminent danger. They are treating it as a missing persons case.

Moussa is described as 5'2" tall and weighs about 104 pounds. She has long blond braids and an infinity tattoo with her name and her twin sister's name on it.

Moussa attends Mount Vernon High School and is in the 10th grade.

"If you know any information about where my child is please just let us know," said Hill.

Anyone with information about Moussa's whereabouts is asked to call police at 703-691-2131.
