Prince George's County police investigating homicide in Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Prince George's County police are conducting a homicide investigation in Hyattsville Tuesday afternoon.

Police say officers responded to the 7900 block of Riggs Road at around 2 p.m. in response to a welfare check call. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from trauma to the body.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, officials say.
