Montgomery County school teacher dies after medical emergency in classroom

ROCKVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A Montgomery County school teacher has died after suffering a medical emergency in a classroom.

Deanna Perucci taught English at Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac.

"For those who knew Ms. Perucci, we ask that you remember and celebrate her kindness and commitment to others, specifically to children. She was a wonderful teacher that loved teaching at Hoover and cared deeply for our students," the school said in a letter to parents.

The school will have counselors on hand on Friday to provide support.
