Mild temps with PM showers expected Wednesday; first 90-degree day of the year possible Thursday

A fairly mild start for the first day of May but a wide range of temperatures across the area keep it warmer to the south and cooler to the north. Highs in the D.C. region will be around 78 degrees.

We can expect more clouds then sun Wednesday with passing showers and the possibility for thunderstorms later in the evening. The area is at a marginal risk for severe weather.

Thursday is still on schedule to be the first 90-degree day of the year! Unsettled weather patterns keep the possibility of showers around into the weekend with the best chance for rain coming on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
